CDF’s mission is to lead community development analysis and strategy, in order to enable people to influence decisions that affect their lives.
 

Working in partnership

 
As a public body we maintain a close and strong relationship with our sponsoring department, Communities and Local Government.
 
We also work with other government departments, including the Office of the Third Sector, the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Department of Health and Home Office.
 
CDF believes that a strong community sector is a united one. Partnership working is vital to our approach. These include partnerships with those in the community development field, the community sector, public sector membership bodies.
 
We also rely on the skills and expertise of our bank of associates who are involved in a number of our activities.
